Michael F. Becker

Mr. Michael F. Becker has over 33 years of trial experience. He is past President of the Cleveland Academy of Trial Attorneys (CATA). His practice is primarily in the area of medical negligence. Mr. Becker is a frequent lecturer on medical negligence and is a former chair of the Medical Negligence Section of the Ohio Academy of Trial Lawyers. He has authored articles on Medical Malpractice in state and national publications. Mr. Becker is certified as a Civil Trial Specialist by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. He has been elected a fellow of the International Society of Barristers and is regularly selected by his peers to be included in The Best Lawyers in America, as well as Ohio Super Lawyers. Mr. Becker was inducted into the Inner Circle of Advocates (www.innercircle.org) which is a group of the top 100 personal injury lawyers in the country. Mr. Becker received the Craig Spangenberg Distinguished Advocate Award from the Ohio Association for Justice on May 14, 2009, which is given to one attorney per year. Mr. Becker also received the President's Award from the Cleveland Academy of Trial Attorneys on June 19, 2009.

The purpose of the Mike's Kids Foundation is to provide assistance via services, equipment, education, special care and respite support to children with special needs and their families. Special need children include those who are physically and/or mentally challenged including those with learning disabilities. Additionally, educational materials/seminars will be sponsored for parents of special needs children relative to maximizing available resources and for medical providers in ways to prevent or minimize perinatal morbidity.

INTERESTS/HOBBIES

Faith and Family are at the center of Mike's purpose. Married to Bev for 35 years they have together raised two grown children. As a family, they enjoy most their annual "get away" to Maine and often share that time with extended family and close friends. Together, they enjoy boating and hiking the trails in Maine.

Mike is also an avid golfer, a sport he enjoys with his friends.
